Jeremy Laber is the heart and expertise behind KC Lighthouse Electric. With over 25 years of experience in the electrical trade, Jeremy has built a career rooted in skill, dedication, and a passion for helping others.

Jeremy’s journey began in 1998 when he started working for Downs Electric. Although he enjoyed his time there, the company couldn’t support further training, so Jeremy moved on to grow his skills. He joined PJ Christoph Electrical in Virginia, where he completed a four-year apprenticeship. During this time, he became a lead electrician, specializing in wiring luxurious oceanfront homes—both new builds and remodels. He also became skilled at troubleshooting electrical issues, proving his ability to handle both big projects and small repairs.

In 2006, Jeremy moved to Kansas City and joined A.B. May, where he worked as a service electrician for nearly 20 years. His work included:

• Repairing and rebuilding electrical systems.

• Rewiring entire homes.

• Installing whole-house generators.

• Responding to emergency calls to fix electrical failures.

At A.B. May, Jeremy also became a mentor, training apprentices and helpers. He shared his knowledge and experience, helping shape the next generation of electricians.

Today, Jeremy brings that same expertise and commitment to KC Lighthouse Electric. His focus is on providing high-quality, safe, and reliable electrical services to the Kansas City community. Whether it’s a small repair or a major installation, Jeremy’s dedication to excellence ensures every job is done right.
